Artist Biography
Santosh Gupta
Santosh Gupta, a Masters in Arts has been working on her talent since the
80's. She enjoys taking real life subjects and creating them into a unique
piece of art. She primarily works with oils but has dabbled in watercolor and
pastels. In these paintings, she utilizes traditional brushwork and
incorporates knife work techniques to enhance texture which make them
fascinating and unique works.
Recently, Santosh has come first and has been awarded with a 'gold medal'
for her artwork by Rajasthan State University in India in June 2006. Her
subjects are unique and visually soothing. She loves to represent different
cultures, subjects to convey the message how beautiful art is and how it can
make a positive difference in one's life.
